- ABRAHAMThe study of the life of Abraham is important because he was chosen by God to become the father of a new nation. In God’s dealings, seeds were planted in his heart from which were to spring wonderful result for all future believers.1
- DAVIDHis boyhood was spent as a shepherd. He was eminently gifted, being skilled in playing the lyre. His childhood was spent on his father’s farm near Bethlehem. He was the youngest of eight sons of Jessie. As a shepherd he showed great courage in protecting the flock.1
